Use variables to choose desired industial_ci URL and branch

I was seen jobs fail which turned out to be a faulty heuristic in industrial_ci (see the issue and the proposed fix).

Anyways, I had to add these changes to facilitate testing different versions of industrial_ci while keeping our CI template settings. I think it may make sense to integrate it into the main branch.
