Use single file to find python files
Given that you are later sorting and uniquing both files, why not just send the output of both find
commands to the same single file?
Something like:
- find . -type f -executable -exec awk ' /^#!.*python/{print FILENAME} {nextfile}' {} + > /tmp/python_files
- find . -type f -name "*.py" >> /tmp/python_files
- sort /tmp/python_files | uniq | xargs ${PYTHON_VERSION} -m flake8 --max-line-length 120 --statistics --show-source
Not that it is a huge difference anyhow ...

I am generating a docker image to be deployed as the final application here, but the final image generated does not contain the meshes which are hosted in LFS.
